Some further details

Lou Weis is an independent creative director who operates with a small international team of collaborators to grow creative ventures or realise discrete event based projects.

Lou has delivered creative strategy services to companies and government agencies in various countries, including Lima Projects (London), Q&A Ventures (Amsterdam / NYC), The Green Pages (Sydney), Department of Innovation (Melbourne).

A fascination with spectacle in the urban environment started whilst studying cultural theory at university and grew into a creative practice in1999 when Lou initiated collaboration with artist Daniel Crooks to realise an installation for that year’s St Kilda Short Film Festival. This quickly developed into opportunities to deliver projects to major performing arts and design festivals such as The Singapore, Brisbane & Melbourne International Arts Festivals and Tokyo Design Week.

In 2010 Lou was engaged as the creative director of Australia’s largest and most prominent design festival, State of Design (www.stateofdesign.com.au), which involved development and delivery of a four pronged program totaling 120 events over 11 days.
